Alex Schlueter is a very special artist and young man. Diagnosed with autism at age three, Alex also demonstrated remarkable artistic ability at a very early age, with a natural ability to illustrate perspective, shading and attention to detail beyond what would be expected from a young child.
Alex’s parents could see his talent, but wondered how his skills could be nurtured and channeled. The turning point in realizing Alex’s potential came when Alex’s mom arranged for music lessons with Tess Orozco’s studio in Seattle, Washington. While Miss Tess enthusiastically took up the challenge of unlocking the musical ability that lay within Alex, she also talked with Alex’s mom about his artistic ability – and that’s when the magic happened.
Reproductions of Alex’s artwork are available as cards and prints. Visit the Purchase Art page to see what’s available.
